Inferno at Great Nigeria building, Lagos.

Calamity struck, Monday morning when the Great Nigeria House, a 15-storey building , along Martins Street, off Balogun, on the Marina, Lagos Island was engulf in fire.
According to Rasaq Fadipe, a Director in the Lagos State Fire Service, the fire started at 6:30 am, when fire fighters from Onikan Fire Station responded.

As at the press time, the fire men are still battling to put out the fire.

We gathered that no live was lost as the building housing many offices had not opened for business when the fire started.

UPDATE: Not less than 12 trucks of water have been expended on the raging inferno which has devoured the first two blocks of the Great Nigeria House. The fire has extended to the third building, and fire fighters are already exhausted.

 UPDATE: Fire stabilized by the fire fighters.
