Iron Deficiency In Children- Signs & Symptoms.

Too little iron can impair your child’s ability to function. However, most signs and symptoms of iron deficiency in children don’t appear until iron deficiency anaemia occurs. Signs and symptoms of iron deficiency anaemia include:
Fatigue or weakness,
Pale skin,
Poor appetite,
Shortness of breath,
Irritability,
Inflammation of the tongue,
Difficulty maintaining body temperature,
Increased likelihood of infections,
Irregular heartbeat,
Behavioural problems,
Unusual cravings for non-nutritive substances, such as ice, dirt or pure starch.
