There's a controversy surrounding Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson's real age.

This seem to be another age scandal. Someone close to the Nollywood curvy actress, Mercy J claims the actress is just 26 years old- yeah right!

Meanwhile the mother of one, Mercy Johnson said that she was born 1984 in her biography which obviously does not correspond with 26.
Now the question is what is her exact age? Is she truly 26 or?

Lagos State - Two mechanics were severely injured in a live electricity wire incident that occured along Igando/Ikotun road in Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State recently.

A live electricity wire fell on the vehicle with Afeez Kareem and friend Prince Onyekachi, 34, both mechanics, inside. While trying to escape, they stepped on the wire and sustained severe burns. Mr. Kareem was burnt from the navel down, while Mr. Onyekachi's right leg and genitalia were affected.
After being rushed to Igando General Hospital, the two were referred to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), but the doctors there suggested to move them to Gbagada General Hospital for intensive care.

Mr. Kareem has had two legs amputated in the course of two successive operations; however, he is to undergo more operations. Mr. Onyekachi had his affected limbs wrapped in bandage and plasters by doctors and is waiting for final decisions.

How the accident happened
Lying on his hospital bed, Mr. Kareem narrated how the incident occurred.

"I was driving out with my friend who came to visit me when the incident happened. It occurred in the afternoon along Church bus stop on Igando/Ikotun road, not far from our workshop.
"Rain was falling seriously that day. As we were going, I wanted to make a U-turn when the live wire fell and dropped on our vehicle. We quickly tried to escape from the car, but unfortunately, I stepped on the live wire and it began to burn my body from the leg up to my navel.

NDLEA Arrests Former Lawmaker Over Indian Hemp

The Adamawa Command of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on Saturday confirmed the arrest of an ex-lawmaker in possession of 81.9 kilogrammes of Cannabis Sativa (Indian Hemp).

Confirming the arrest to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Yola, the state NDLEA Commander, Alhaji Hassan Zungeru, said the suspect was charged to court.

Calabar, Cross River State - A dozen armed robbers terrorising residents in River States have been nabbed by the police. The suspects were arrested after sustained intelligence and undercover operations during the Christmas Period in 2013.

Edem Basey Effiong (18), Emmanuel Nkalu (19), Aliyu Umaru (21) had a habit of dressing themselves in army camouflage; they have tormented residents of Ikot Omin, 8 Miles and Basin Development Authorities for several months.

"Why Nigerians Are Refused UK Visas"


Nigeria’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Dr Dalhatu Sarki Tafida, has explained that many Nigerians are refused UK visas because they do not apply in good time.

Speaking in London during a courtesy visit on him by the Minister for Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Relations, the High Commissioner lamented that most Nigerian visa applicants normally leave it very late before applying, and may not meet the requirements for the visa within the short time.

He said the situation was also the same with British-Nigerians who apply for Nigerian visas, disclosing that “99 per cent of their applications fall within the category of urgent or emergency visas”.
