Oscar winning actor Philip Seymour Hoffman Dies @ 46

Award-winning actor Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead Sunday afternoon February 2nd 2014 in his New York City apartment, The Wall Street Journal has reported.
The 46-year-old was found dead at his apartment at 35 Bethune Street in the West Village neighborhood of Manhattan.


The New York Police Department is investigating, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine exact cause of death. Mr. Hoffman won the Academy Award for Best Actor for the 2005 film, “Capote“, and received three Academy Award nominations as Best Supporting Actor.

He has also received recognition for his roles in Scent of a Woman, Doubt, Magnolia, and Charlie Wilson’s War.

Hoffman was in a longstanding relationship with costume designer Mimi O’Donnell. They had a son, Cooper Alexander, and two daughters, Tallulahand Willa.
